CBN needs volunteers to help out with its projects, and in other capacities. Core CBN volunteers and board members get some perks - in addition to the knowledge that are doing something good - such as discounts on parts, and free tool rentals.

Some of the things that volunteers can do for the community:

• Board Members - people who are passionate about biking, community bike mechanics, education and non-profits
• Administrative Workers - at the CBN office, answering telephone inquiries, filing, etc.
• Artists/Desktop Publishers/Writers - Design and produce signs, brochures, and posters to promote CBN; or contribute articles to the CBNquirer newsletter
• Bicycle Recyclers - Cannibalize bikes for parts and sort and transport scrap for recycling (A great way to learn the basic workings of a bike!)
• Drivers and Movers (With a trailer, vehicle, and/or license) - Pick up donated bicycles, and move bikes and parts between hubs.
• Flyer Distributers - Promote CBN projects and events by posting and distributing flyers in your neighbourhood.
• Fundraisers - Work with others on fundraising proposals and grant applications. Great job experience!
• Special Events - Sit at a CBN information table or run a bike repair booth for a few hours at various events that take place throughout the year.
• Web People - Bring any skills on content development, layout or technical elements.
