Women & Their Wheels – Thursday March 17

CBN is please to present a wonderful way to get the 2016 season started with a lively discussion about cycling in the city presented by the good folks at Bikechain at U of T.

Women and Their Wheels: An evening to talk about women and cycling

From ditching corsets to demanding the right to vote, the bicycle has played a surprising and vital role in women’s history! On March 17, join Bikechain for a fun and insightful exploration of the many ways that women and bikes make a great combination.

The evening will feature talks by:

Nancy Smith Lea, Director, Toronto Centre for Active Transportation (TCAT)

Danielle Schön, Head of Welding and Fabrication at Schön Studio
Siva Vijenthira, former cycling educator and advocate at Cycle Toronto and CultureLink

There will be free coffee, tea, and snacks. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased at the GSU pub downstairs. After the presentations, there will be plenty of time for mingling, snacking, and keeping the conversation going!

2015 Winter Party @ BikeSauce

Thank you to all those who came out to party with us on Saturday.

It was a small but joyous affair with musical guest D’Arcy Wickham providing some lovely ambient acoustic guitar music for the fans to enjoy as they feasted on great cake from Dufflet, sipped beer from Steam Whistle and chatted.

Special thanks goes out to the folks at BikeSauce for allowing us to use their space.

2015 Annual General Meeting

The Community Bicycle Network’s 2015 Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday, November 15, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Learn about CBN’s most recent initiatives and how we plan to continue building on our successes of 2015. There are many great opportunities to get involved at every level, and no better time to join the discussion on important issues that help steer CBN into the future. You are our community and we value your input!

Attendees will also have the chance to enter a raffle to win cool prizes!
