The Ultimate X-Mas Gift: A Yellow Bike!

In 2002, CBN BikeShare Bikes served nearly 500 Canadians and travelled over 43,000 KM. That means that some 242,434 kg of carbon monoxide (CO), 19,393 kg of Nitrogen Oxides (NOX) and 13,330 kg of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, which otherwise would have been emitted into Toronto's air during this period, were not.

It also means that nearly 500 Torontonians got to their destinations with incredible style.

CBN BikeShare isn't just about bikes -it's about re-building livable neighbourhoods, bringing nature back into our cities, treading softly on the earth and promoting technologically simple, pollution-free transportation choices.

Over the next three years, CBN BikeShare plans to expand the current fleet to 1,000 bicycles, to more closely integrate BikeShare with Toronto's public transit systems, and to make bicycles ubiquitous on all roads across the GTA. CBN Bikeshare offers visible and practical solutions to problems of global warming and climate change.

You can be part of the solution to global warming by getting your name, your cat's name, or your best pals's name painted on a BikeShare bike in exchange for a charitable donation of $75 or more. If you do by December 17th, we'll send a nifty CBN Happy Holidays Card in your name to the recipient of your choice telling them the name you've chosen.

Happy Holidays from CBN!!
