Compliment for our wheel-building workshop

Summary:
Our wheel-building workshop gets a good review from local fixie fan.

Matt took some photos at our recent wheel-building workshop.

Apparently wheel-building is easy enough that even "the kid that mostly sits in the corner and eats glue" can figure it out. And he found out the theory part is actually interesting and not as daunting as he'd thought.

Thanks for the recommendation, Matt.

ToolWorks is open by appointment only for the Winter

It's getting colder outside, this December 2004, and ToolWorks is slowing down as the volunteers prefer to huddle in front of their space heaters at home instead of biking down to CBN. ToolWorks will not be regularly open - we will open by appointment only until about March 2005.

Some of us are still happy to help people who'd like to work on their bikes - such as all of us who need to make our bikes resistant to salt, snow and black ice! We ask that everyone email ToolWorks ahead of time so that we can negotiate a time which we could open CBN. The time will most likely be on Saturday afternoons, but we're open to other days of the week too.

Winterize your bike and yourself

A ToolWorks bike clinic on how to keep warm, how to keep your bike from rusting from under you, and how to ride on ice and through snow. We're doing the workshop again because it was so popular the first time.

CBN, 761 Queen Street West, Suite 101. Suggested donation: $5. Bring you bike and you can work on it after the clinic for $5/hour.
