As a registered non-profit corporation, the Community Bicycle Network is managed by a volunteer board of directors. Board members are elected annually by CBN’s membership and serve two years per term. Elections are staggered so that only some board members run for re-election at any given Annual General Meeting.
In 2016, CBN celebrated its 23th anniversary. CBN is currently seeking several new board members to assist us as we celebrate this exciting season. This is an opportunity to make an important contribution to one of Toronto’s most dynamic grassroots organizations.
If you have experience in any of the following areas we would love to hear from you:
- Fundraising / Development
- Business Planning
- Accounting / Finance
- Grant Writing
- Marketing & Social Media
- Community Outreach
Specifically, we are in need of individuals with backgrounds in law, accounting and digital media.
These positions are for working board members, meaning there will be hands-on responsibilities. Candidates must be interested in our mandate & mission, can participate in governance & planning roles and also take on operational tasks as needed.
- Ability to maintain a voluntary position
- 2-year commitment (approximately 10-15 hrs/month)
- Must be able to attend monthly meetings in Toronto (usually the 1st Monday of each month)
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
