Donate your old bikes and buy a new pre-loved one. Got some dust-gathering bikes in your garage? Donate them to use and "swap" them for a selection of fixed-up, recycled bikes that we have for sale. 9am to 2pm (We're trying something new this time: no consignments. You can still put your bike up for consignment at our office if we have the space.) Your donated bikes will go towards supporting our bike recycling and mechanic education programs, a portion of which is donated towards people with various disadvantages. The Community Bicycle Network is a non-profit whose missions is to provide education and recycled bikes to the community.

Nominations to fill vacancies on the advisory board of the Community Bicycle Network (CBN) are open until Monday, May 5 for those interested in standing for election at CBN's Annual General Meeting on Monday, May 12. We encourage all interested parties to inquire. CBN is a community-based bicycle organization with the goal of promoting and stimulating healthy, active, and neighbourhood-friendly sustainable transportation initiatives within the City of Toronto. CBN has taken the bold move of becoming a self-sustaining social enterprise that recycles and sells bikes and services to fund its community projects, including bicycle repair and skills workshops, and bike giveaways / earn-a-bike programs to people with low income. Some of CBN's previous successful projects include bicycle sharing and promotion programs, a speaker series, and a bicycle-themed poster auction. CBN operates under the supervision of a volunteer advisory board of up to twelve people elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting. CBN's Annual General Membership Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 12, 2008 at CBN – 761 Queen St. W.
